Grace’s Place Team Raises $10,198 at 2024 City2Surf

The Grace’s Place team made an inspiring impact at this year’s 2024 City2Surf, raising an impressive $10,198 to support our world-first residential trauma facility for children and young people affected by homicide. With four dedicated team members lacing up their running shoes, they took on the 14-kilometre journey from Sydney’s Hyde Park to the iconic Bondi Beach, all in the name of healing and hope. Their fundraising efforts will go a long way in providing critical support services for young survivors, ensuring they have a safe space to recover and rebuild their lives.

The City2Surf is not just a race but an iconic Sydney tradition that has been challenging and inspiring runners since 1971. Attracting thousands of participants each year, the event winds through some of Sydney’s most stunning scenery, including the notorious Heartbreak Hill, a steep incline that tests even the most seasoned athletes. Whether running, jogging, or walking, every participant embraces the spirit of community and charity, making it one of the largest fun runs in the world.

The Grace’s Place team’s achievement is a testament to their passion and dedication to supporting young people in need. Their success in raising over $10,000 highlights the generosity of their supporters and the strong community backing for their cause. As they crossed the finish line at Bondi Beach, it was more than just the end of a race—it was a milestone in their ongoing journey to provide safety, comfort, and a future for children affected by trauma.

Thank you Louiza and team!
